BUILDING A.I That Serves Citizens
Convened by SemaBOX and the Samawati Collective, this five-part bi-weekly event series brings together Kenya’s leading AI builders, policymakers, researchers, funders, civil society actors, and citizens to explore how artificial intelligence can advance the public interest.
Hosted in a hybrid format from Nairobi and livestreamed globally, the series will spotlight groundbreaking local innovations in democracy, healthcare, agriculture, language technologies, and governance while creating space for meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and action.
Through panels, roundtables, workshops, and showcases, participants will engage with the opportunities, challenges, and policy questions shaping Kenya’s AI future at a pivotal moment marked by the implementation of the National AI Strategy 2025–2030 and ongoing debates around AI regulation.
Held bi-weekly on Mondays from 6:00–8:30 PM, the series aims to build a vibrant community around AI for Public Interest (AI4PI) and help move promising ideas from pilot to scale.
